As part of the Presidential Advisory Council on Doing Business in Africa (PAC-DBIA) visit to Accra, Ghana, Corporate Council on Africa will bring together key U.S. and African private and public-sector leaders for a panel discussion focused on investment opportunities in Ghana's energy and power sector.

Energy remains a major growth driver on the continent and generates a significant portion of the GDP for many African countries. Over $2 trillion of investments are expected by 2036 in the energy sector on the continent. With recent discoveries in Ghana, the country is poised to attract significant investment in the oil, gas, and power sector.

The panel will discuss the current state of the energy sector in Ghana, its contribution to increased power generation, incentives and policies to promote FDI, and innovative approaches to financing energy projects.
